Budapest (Day 1 and 2)

Budapest (Day 1 and 2)

Hi y’all!

Today I thought I would combine both of the days I spent in Budapest, just to make the post a bit more concise.

On the first day, we got really lucky to have arrived on St. Stephens Day. On this day, Hungarians celebrate St. Stephen who brought Catholicism to a non-Christian Hungary. The entire day was full of beautiful traditions, costumes, parades, live music, and fireworks!

This beautiful church was completely refurbished as it was bombed during the world wars.

This tower represents the lives lost from the plague and thanks God for getting rid of the plague.

Happy St. Stephen’s Day!

We then went to go eat some authentic Goulash.

After a great day of celebrations, we ended the night, excited for our next morning in Budapest!

Day 2

We woke up really early to go see the amazing parliament building.

We then went to the world famous Gundel Restaurant. We had amazing Hungarian pancakes and left with our stomach feeling so full.

That’s it for this post! I will see you next in the beautiful Austria.

Xx,

Srini
