#TheVegetarianTravels: Scandinavia - Denmark Day 1

Denmark Day 1#TheVegetarianTravelsHi guys! How has everyone’s summer been going? My family and I finally left the heat for the summer (where we live it’s about 110F) and went of to Europe to depend our last leg of summer holiday! However, our first day was probably every travelers worst nightmare. We had a connecting flight to Paris before we got a connecting flight to Copenhagen and our bags got stuck in Paris. Apparently Air France had a strike and this our bags decided stay and be French for a while 🙄. Hopefully we get it soon, but in the meantime we’ve travelled around Copenhagen and it’s been absolutely beautiful.

The first thing we saw was the beautiful opera house. It sat on the stunning water and the chandeliers were absolutely gorgeous.

We then went on a fun little excursion to see a couple of palaces! We saw some amazing architecture, visited the gardens, and ate some delicious Danish treats!

After a quick one hour stop that consisted of finding clothes due to the bags being lost, we went on a small canal ride! We got to see Copenhagen in a whole new way and it was really cool to see all the locals on their own boats eating and drinking wine.

In the evening, we took a stroll in an idyllic village and had a great supper overlooking the harbor. At the end of the first day, it was such a great blessing that the Danes were more than happy to accommodate our food restrictions. The only downside was our bags but hopefully they come in the next couple of days.
