The Vegetarian Travels: Norway Day 6

Norway Day 6

Today’s wake up time : 4:45 AM. I KNOW. But it was so worth it! We caught two trains and traveled down the mountain and caught glimpses of the Fjords. The coolest thing by far was when we saw a waterfall and there was a folklore show.

Low key felt like I was in the Sound of Music on this train

We then jumped on a fairy and saw the Fjord in a closer light. It was so cold but incredibly beautiful!

We then stopped by our hotel to drop off our hand luggage and we were on our way to visit another small Norwegian farm! This was definitely small than the other farm we visited but the family were just as nice and hospitable. They told us about the Viking graves on their land (how cool is that) along with the many excavations that are going on since they have found artifacts from years ago. They also grew fruit as one of their crops so we walked along their farm picking and eating raspberry’s as we went! They served us some apple and pear cider (which is alcoholic and tastes like a dry white wine) along with a yummy Norwegian treat as we learned more about the farm. They also run the exclusive restaurant “Henjatunet Eggjagarden” which I recommend you book and eat at if it’s within your price range (although you can’t be a vegetarian as they serve animal products in all meals).

It was a long day and after the farm we went to eat dinner and sleep.

Side note - Air France is stupid, we called them multiple times telling them to deliver the bags to our next hotel since we left so early this morning, BUT they’re idiots and sent them to our last hotel 🙄🙄. Whatever, rant over lol.

XX,

Srini
