THE BEST WINE PUNCH

Writer's picture: SriniSrini

Hey y'all! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and if you're looking for an easy drink recipe, I've got one for you! I made this wine punch for a Friendsgiving I went to and I was so surprised at how good it turned out, that I had to share. I'm sorry I don't have pictures of every step, thanksgiving is always so crazy!

Here's the recipe (makes about 18 servings)!

Ingredients:

1 carton of strawberries

1 carton of raspberries

1 bottle of Topo Chico (1.5 Liters)

1 bottle of red wine (I used 3/4ths of a 1.5 liter bottle)

1-2 cups of sugar

Directions (Simple Syrup):

- Cut your strawberries in fourths and add them to a large sauce pan with the raspberries.

- Fill the sauce pan full of fruit with water until all the berries are covered.

- Place the pan on stove (high heat) and heat until it starts to boil (stir occasionally). -> this is the longest step because water takes a long time to boil.

- After it boils, remove the pan from the stove and add your sugar.

- On low heat, let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.

- Remove the pan from the stove and let the mixture cool down (completely)

Directions (Punch):

- Once the simple syrup is cooled, add the syrup to a large pitcher.

- Then add the alcohol + topo chico to your liking! I added about 3/4th of the wine and all the topo chico to my punch.

- If the punch isn't sweet enough, add some sugar to your liking

ENJOY!

Here are a couple of pics from my friendsgiving :)

Hope y'all enjoy the punch, let me know if you try it out!

Peace and Love,

Srini
